Introduction to HTML w/XHTML & CSS  (3 Day Course)

 Course Summary:

This course introduces students to web page design & development using the HTML language. In addition to learning the fundamental syntax, terminology and structure of the HTML language, the course covers, in detail, best practices and standards for web page/site construction.

As HTML has evolved over the years, it is now essential that web page developers know and understand how XML is now used in conjunction with HTML to form XHTML as well as how the Cascading Style Sheet language is used to augment and enhance what is possible in a web page. This course introduces these concepts and shows how to integrate XHTML and CSS into your web page design.


 Intended Audience:

This class is intended for entry-level web page authors who wish to begin to develop their own HTML web pages.


 Prerequisites:

To ensure an effective learning environment, it is imperative that students meet minimum course prerequisites.

This course requires:

  • While no HTML/Internet experience is required, Basic Word Processing Skills are essential.
